Components Included:

Acinetobacter baumannii
This test detects Acinetobacter baumannii, which causes infections in the blood, known as sepsis. It may also causes infections to wounds or parts of the body that have just undergone surgery, and meningitis, which is the inflammation of the membranes of our brain.

Haemophilus influenzae
This test detects Haemophilus influenzae, which causes bacterial infection of the blood called bacteremia . It may also cause pneumonia, septic arthritis (infection of joints resulting from inflammation) and meningitis, which is the inflammation of the membranes of our brain.

Neisseria meningitidis
This test detects Neisseria meningitidis, often referred to as meningococcus, which can cause meningitis, or inflammation of the membranes of the brain, and other meningococcemia, a life-threatening infection of the blood (sepsis).

Pseudomonas aeruginosa
This test detects  pseudomonas aeruginosa, which can cause bacteremia of blood. It may also lead to urinary tract infections, respiratory system infections, dermatitis or skin infection, and bone and joint infections due to inflammation.

Enterobacter cloacae complex
This test detects Enterobacter cloacae, which can cause bacteremia of the blood. It may also lead to lower respiratory infections, eye infections, infections of the stomach, skin infections and septic arthritis (infection of joints resulting from inflammation).

E. Coli
This test detects E. Coli bacteria that may live in the digestive tract. This bacteria leads to infections within the blood that lead to severe anemia or loss of iron. In severe cases, it may impair the function of the kidneys and lead to urinary tract infections.

Klebsiella pneumoniae
This test detects Klebsiella pneumoniae, which live in the digestive tract. However, when they spread to other parts of the body they may cause sepsis of the blood, or even urinary tract infections. Risk of spreading of this bacteria increase if a person is sick.

Klebsiella oxytoca
This test detects bacteria causing Klebsiella infection, that can lead to thrombophlebitis, which is when blood clots block veins of the legs. It can also lead to upper respiratory infection, urinary infections, and meningitis or infection of the membranes of the brain.

Proteus species:
This test detects Proteus mirabilis, which is a common cause of urinary tract infections. The symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever and a tender kidney.

Seratia mersescense:
This test detects Seratia mersescense, which causes sepsis or infection of the blood. It may also lead to infection of wounds, eye infections, respiratory infections and meningitis or infection of membranes of the brain.

Enterococcus species:
This test detects Enterococcus bacteria, which cause bacteremia of the blood. These bacteria may also lead to urinary infections, and infections to wounds.

Listeria monocytogenes
This test detects Listeria, which is very fatal to pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems. Symptoms include flu, headache, muscle ache, and nausea.

Staphylococcus aureus
This test detects Staphylococcus aureus, which spreads from contaminated objects and from person to person. It causes redness and swelling of skin, and may develop into a fever with chills.

Streptococcus agalactae
This test detects Streptococcus agalactae, which is a bacteria that commonly affects pregnant women. It can cause blood infections in newborn babies.

Streptococcus pyogenes
This test detects Streptococcus pyogenes, which is a bacteria that causes respiratory infections like pharyngitis, tonsil infections, scarlet fever, and rheumatic fever that can affect the heart, skin, brain and bones and joints. It can also lead to cellulitis, which is a bacterial infection on the skin.

Streptococcus pneumoniae
This test detects Streptococcus pneumoniae, which is the bacteria that causes the most common forms of pneumonia that are usually seen in patients, accompanied by upper respiratory infection. It can also cause ear infections and meningitis in young children.

Candida albicans
This test detects the bacteria called candida albicans, which can cause yeast infections, but if it enters the body, it can infect the blood, and is especially threatening to those with low immunity, like cancer and AIDS patients. Yeast infections are fungal infections characterized by severe swelling.

Candida krusei
This test detects the bacteria called candida albicans, which is often present in individuals with cancer of the blood cells, or those with compromised immune systems.

Candida glabrata
This test detects the bacteria called candida glabrata, which can cause yeast infections, but if it enters the body, it can infect the blood, and is especially threatening to those with low immunity, like cancer and AIDS patients. Yeast infections are fungal infections characterized by severe swelling.

Candida parapsilosis
This test detects the bacteria called candida glabrata, which can cause yeast infections, but if it enters the body, it can infect the blood as well as open wounds, and is especially threatening to those with low immunity, like cancer and AIDS patients.

Candida tropicalis
This test detects the bacteria called candida tropicalis, which can cause yeast infections, but if it enters the body, it can infect the blood, and is especially threatening to those with low immunity, like cancer and AIDS patients.
