Swine Flu-H1N1 Influenza A-Diagnosis, Symptoms, Precautions

The swine flu epidemic in 2009 alerted the human race about how dangerous and infectious the disease can be. During the epidemic, individuals being quarantined at airports even if they had the smallest amount of sniffles. All of this was effective towards curbing widespread infection across borders. With time, medications such as Tamiflu, as well as vaccinations were developed towards swine flu prevention, and this was a major development in healthcare. The origin of the virus is pretty self-explanatory. The H1N1 virus originates in pigs, and can spread from human to human too.   • Staying at home if sick to prevent spreading the flu.
  • Washing hands with soap, or cleaning them with sanitizer frequently when in public.
  • Coughing or sneezing into the crook of the elbow or using a handkerchief.
